Candle of Hope - November 28 This is the first Sunday of Advent.  We are celebrating the coming of Christ and the hope that surrounds His birth.  Hope is the expectation of the fulfillment of God's promises.  Hope is the anticipation of a favorable outcome under God's guidance.  More specifically, hope is the confidence that what God has done for us in the past guarantees our participation in what God will do in the future.  We light the candle of hope.  May it remind each and everyone of us of God's great promise to us.  He is our Hope, He is our Redeemer, and He is Savior.

Jeremiah 33:  14-16

"The days are coming, 'declares the LORD, 'when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah.  In those days and a t that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David's line; he will do what is just and right in the land.  In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety.  This is the name by which it will be called:  The LORD our Righteous Savior."
